Tines: Getting Started

Introduction

Tines is an integrator and can connect to any API. While we are not bound by preconfigured integrations, we have more than 50 pre-built templates for Recorded Future. Common use cases for Tines and Recorded Future include automated threat intelligence enrichment, real-time alert triaging, proactive threat hunting, and vulnerability management enhancement.

Prerequisites

  • Active Recorded Future API token

Installation Steps

  1. Get a Recorded Future API key
  2. Log in to your Tines tenant
  3. Navigate to the team that will be using the API and click "Credentials"
  4. Click "+ New Credential" and select "Text"
  5. Input the values for the Recorded Future credential
    • Name: Recorded Future
    • Description: Optional
    • Value: Your API key
    • Optional
    •  Domains: Ensure this credential can only be used when making HTTP requests to specific domains.
    •  Access: What other teams can also use the API
  6. Click "Save"
