Browser Extension Settings

 

Once you have installed the Browser Extension for Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, this article will walk you through the various settings available to customize your experience. The Google Chrome extension can also be installed for Microsoft Edge (see below for detailed instructions).

To access these options, click Settings in the top right corner and click the Advanced Options dropdown to see all of the available settings. We walk through each option below.

  • Show in-page risk scores
    Hover over an entity recognized by the Browser Extension, you will see the Recorded Future risk score. 
  • Disable potentially malicious links on page
    This setting will prevent you from clicking on and visiting potentially malicious links (having a risk score above 65)
  • Show in-page score for
    Set a threshold to choose which risk scores show in-page.

  • Disable extension on this domain
    No IOCs or other data will be scanned on the current domain.
  • Select which entity types you want to automatically detect:
    • Domain
    • URL
    • IP Address
    • Hash
    • Vulnerability

Installing Google Chrome browser extension on Microsoft Edge

1. Goto Extensions from the top-right corner menu

2. Click on "Chrome Web Store" link at the bottom of the page

3. You will be redirected to Chrome Web Store

4. Search for Recorded Future extension

5. Click on "Get" extension and Allow extensions from other stores

6. Click on "Add Extension" in the pop-up

7. The extension should be now available in the Microsoft Edge browser.
