This guide covers connecting to Recorded Future MCP as an integration user via the Integration Center - the recommended path for enterprises running agents at scale. If you're an individual user connecting your own client (e.g. Claude), see Connecting to Recorded Future MCP instead.
Eligibility: Integration users are available to customers with unlimited integration users included in their package. If you're not eligible, you can still connect to Recorded Future MCP using your individual user credentials until the end of 2026 — see the guide linked above.
Creating an Integration User
- Navigate to Integration Center in the Recorded Future portal.
- Find the Recorded Future MCP tile and select it.
- Create a new integration user and select the entitlements it should have access to. (Tools are gated by entitlement — an integration user without Vulnerability Intelligence won't see Vulnerability Intelligence tools, for example.)
- Select your authentication type: Client ID/Secret (OAuth 2.0)
- Generate your credentials.
Save Your Credentials
Your Client Secret (or API Key) is shown once, at creation. Copy it somewhere safe: Recorded Future cannot show it to you again. If lost, revoke and regenerate a new credential from the same tile.
Using Your Credentials in a Client
The OAuth credentials can be used in client_credential auth flow for headless/non-interactive workloads like backend services, cron jobs, CI steps, or autonomous agents. The client presents its own credentials directly to the authorization server, receives an access token, and attaches it to every request. There is no redirect and no consent screen.
Token audience to be used is set to the resource URL https://mcp.recordedfuture.com/v2/mcp or https://mcp.recordedfuture.com/mcp
The scope is assigned to the client and does not have to be carried in the token.
Important Notes
- One MCP tool call counts as one API call against your allowance.
- Usage is tracked automatically and visible in the Integration Center.
