Recorded Future MCP is available to all customers with unlimited integrations. Within it, each tool individually authenticates against your enterprise’s and your user’s entitlements.
For Integration Users (i.e. when creating an enterprise-wide MCP Oauth credential from the Integration Center), customers can choose which entitlements you’d like the Integration User to have. Want the integration to be able to access tools related to Threat, but not Brand? You can enforce that.
For ineligible customers - those customers without access to unlimited integrations - Recorded Future is extending access to Recorded Future MCP pilot until end of year 2026. Access will be available via portal users only, with entitlements applied from that user’s existing entitlements.
Quota
Recorded Future MCP counts against your API call allowance at a ratio of one tool call to one API call.
Customers can see their daily usage for both API calls and MCP tool calls in the Integration Center.
For example, if you call Recorded Future MCP and your MCP client uses a Threat Map tool twice, an Entity ID tool once, and an Intelligence Card tool once, that would count as four tool calls.
Recorded Future offers API calls against a daily allowance. This is the same for Recorded Future MCP.
Enforcement
Customers will not lose access to Recorded Future MCP if they exceed their daily quota on any given day. Recorded Future wants to ensure that our customers can use our intelligence en-masse to respond to incidents or other events that might result in high call volumes, without fear of losing access.
Instead, if a customer is repeatedly over their allotted quota, we’ll reach out through our account teams to find a solution that works for them.
Example: You have a breaking incident that requires rapid, high-volume triage of indicators via both API and MCP. Executives are also leveraging Recorded Future MCP through your in-house ChatGPT subscription to understand the situation. You go over your quota by several thousand calls.
In the above situation, Recorded Future MCP will continue to work.
